One of the best animation movie ever made.
Critic Review:
A brutal, relentlessly grimy shocker with taut performances, slick gore effects, and a haunting finale.
The odd thing about Seven, however, is that except for its facile, familiar and ridiculously gimmicky plot, it's a pretty involving murder mystery.
The reason to see Seven, which is decidedly not for the faint of stomach, is not for the punishment of sin, but the many virtues of Freeman's contribution.
Seven is a work of extraordinary style, upsetting power and narrative daring.
Although the story isn't original, it's powerfully directed by David Fincher, and Morgan Freeman gives another of his superbly understated performances.
The investigation and the clues that lead to the murderer are well thought out and continually provocative. As a narrative, the film is quite involving.
David Fincher is at the top of his form with Seven, one of the darkest, creepiest, and most brilliant serial killer pictures in American film history.
One can already tell that this film is on to something special during the opening credits.
User Review:
This movie had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. The background music created a great atmosphere of suspense and dread. The acting was top notch, the story was creepy but incredibly interesting. I seriously have no complaints.
It's not that it is a film that has twists or turns or anything like that.. its a film with structure that flows seamlessly, with great cinematography, performances and writing, fincher creats an atmosphere that has substance its a movie that everytime I watch I forget how great it is.
"Seven is a classic thriller that has clever acting, intense actions."
Based on the Seven Deadly Sins, this movie is sinfully entertaining, holding your attention til the end. "Se7en" keeps you interested from frame one. The movie is honest in its portrayal of each crime, delivering visual evidence of each sin...one by one. The criminal's maniacle plan lays out with one unfold after another. Cleverly wrapping the audience in a shroud of character comfort, this movie takes you where you never thought you would go.
