Season 2

The second season of The Walking Dead fleshes out the characters while maintaining the grueling tension and gore that made the show a hit. Dead returns very much alive and kicking, the gut-wrenching highlight of another busy TV weekend. And the opening of season 2 seems more focused, and just plain stronger than the great bulk of that first batch of episodes. The Walking Dead probes the issues through action, more than talk, and it's better for it. Season 2 so far is still a watchable feast of decayed human flesh and frayed nerve endings. The last three episodes of season two of The Walking Dead are among the best cable television that's aired so far this year. The Walking Dead hasn't lost the most important ingredient in its strangely successful recipe: it's thrilling. |

Great show! Full of suspense and drastic situations. The choices made always have consequences. This season is a big difference from the first. This one is full of action and scares. I think this show is way better than the 1st season. It shows more about everyones past and just doesnt stay stuck to Rick. And the zombie killing is better too. Overall i think the show is better. excellent plot and acting. It's darkest in the beginning and then it become less gorish and more dramatic with interesting plot lines. I love it very much. Scaticus Dec 3, 2011 10 Brilliant!!!! Finally a zombie apocalyptic show that's not cheesy and done very well. great character development in the second season. Im glad they slowed the zombie down and developed the stories and characters better, just as good as first season just different. |

Blood-spattered, emotionally resonant, and white-knuckle intense, The Walking Dead puts an intelligent spin on the overcrowded zombie subgenre. Since the first episode focuses mostly on Rick, you will get chills following him on his adventure through this new world, especially if you don't know what's coming up. As writer/director, Mr. Darabont brings his humanistic touch to this zombie story that elevates it from a typical us vs. them tale. The Walking Dead is a good, old-fashioned horror-genre flick/series, without pretension or - for that matter - much of a message, either. The zombies are truly scary and disgusting. The survivors are terrific characters, and the gore is enough for any lunatic to love. For people who love monster movies or zombie comic books, Dead may be just their cup of blood. The show takes full advantage of serial TV's ability to intimately explore interpersonal character dramas. |

"Great show, first 2 episodes are by far the best and I like the season one finale." Bloody brilliant. Amazingly paced, extremely well-acted, and wholly consuming. "The Walking Dead" will have me nailed to my couch for the next five episodes. Hands-down the best show or movie to feature zombies in a long, long time. This is easily one of the best shows on TV. People who don't like this usually complain that zombies are not in it enough. This show is not about the zombies. If you read the comics, or watched the show you get that The Walking Dead refers to the people who are alive more than the zombies themselves. season is by far the best season because it is so eventful compered to the rest of the series. it leaves you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. out of the 'bigger' shows on TV such as game of thrones, breaking bad and such this shows first season in my opinion is by far the best. |
